In setting goals together as a family, each member of the family sees the benefits of spending wisely, and frugally. Pretty soon, that $2 candy bar isn’t as important as reaching your goal of saving for a new bike. Writing your goals down, both the individual family member’s goals and the goals as a family, visually encourages the day-to-day sacrifices that we make in order to reach the goals. Jot down the money you saved everyday, as well as the money that you spent, and watch the whole family’s interest peak!
