December 1, 2008There are a lot of “tricks” to saving on gas mileage, but much of what I see is general sense. Yes, the basics of mechanics is one area that demands attention. Things like properly inflated tires and regularly scheduled maintenance are crucial, yes, but are there some simple gas saving tips I should know about? What about how we drive our automobile, keeping your automobile shaded to reduce air conditioner use, filling up less often to avoid the weight of a full tank, and driving with your windows shut when possible to reduce drag? Are these habits really responsible for additional gas usage? The experts keep putting out reports each day, trying to help us all save on our personal gas consumption, and the country’s, as well. It’s worth trying these recommendations. Keep track of the gas mileage and see what happens.
